The following Privacy Policy Statement sets out how Life Winners (hereinafter: we/our team) collect, archive and process your personal data which you provide to us via the interviews and workshops or which we obtain through our website. This Privacy Policy statement was last amended on 24 April 2020. We may amend this Privacy Policy statement from time to time.  The Life Winners is responsible for the means of processing your personal data (the ‘controller’) and process them (‘processor’) within the confines of the General Data Protection Regulation (‘GDPR’).

What personal data do we collect and from whom?

We collect data from anyone signing up for one of our free courses and anyone whom we interview. Consider in this regard basic background information, contact details, data on your business, attendance of our workshops and website use. We also use cookies (after seeking your consent, if required). 

Among other things, we process the following personal data from onsite activities (workshops & interviews):

  • Name;
  • Email address;
  • Sex;
  • Business/ Company/ occupation related data;
  • Background information (education, beliefs, professional stories)

Amongst other things, we process the following personal data from visitors to our websites:

  • Website visit and use;
  • IP address;
  • Duration and time of visit to the website;
  • Use of social media, browser type, server language preference, and country setting

For what purposes do we process personal data?

Personal data supplied by our onsite activities (workshops & interviews) is processed for the following purposes:

  • Registration for the purposes of participation in our workshops or for the interview;
  • To provide you with personalised educational and promotional support;
  • For information purposes;
  • To email newsletters, to provide updates on current developments, latest trends, conferences, seminars, and upcoming workshops;
  • For the continuous improvement of the quality of our workshops, among other things, conducting research and processing surveys;
  • The recommendation for a prize or nominations;

The personal data supplied by visitors to our websites is processed to compile user statistics; therefore, to promote improvement of our website via a better user experience.

Grounds for processing personal data

According to the GDPR, there must be a legitimate basis for processing your personal data. In the case of the Life Winners the legitimate basis will depend on the type of personal data concerned. This legitimate basis will be the performance of an agreement and a legitimate interest; although we always ask for your explicit consent, please be aware that if you do not provide certain personal data, you may not be allowed to attend any free course or being interviewed.

We need to process personal data for the purposes of fulfilling certain purposes. Examples include processing personal data to provide you with personalised educational and promotional support for your business.

We have an interest in being able to carry out certain surveys or make some of your personal data visible to our website. This is to improve the quality of the workshops, to provide personalised information and to promote your business.  On these grounds, we will process certain personal data unless your privacy interests outweigh our interest.

How long do we keep your personal data?

We will not keep/ archive your personal data for longer than is necessary for the purposes for which we use it. We are required by law to keep some data for a certain period, once the purpose for which it was collected has been completed. However, wherever possible, we will pseudonymise or anonymise your personal data to the fullest extent possible.

Transfer your personal data to third parties?

Life winners will not transfer, disclose or convey your personal data to third parties for any purpose. However, in rare circumstances, we will need to transfer your data if it is required by applicable law or by public/ juridical authorities/ local authorities.

You are entitled to access any personal data processed by us or determine whether it is accurate and up to date, to have it corrected or deleted or restrict its processing.
